A torrent of system messages flooded his vision, a deluge that would have sent any normal player into a frenzy. Park Jin-ho, however, was unmoved. He had experienced this moment, and received these rewards, many times before.

Description: An item granted to the first player to ever slay an Cheon-sa. Only one who has felled an Cheon-sa is qualified to become their nemesis: the Sasin.
Players could choose a job starting at level 10. There were over thirty different paths available, and the method for advancement was simple: obtain the correct job-advancement item.
“Looks like I got exactly what I needed,” Park Jin-ho murmured, his eyes fixed on the swirling, golden liquid in his inventory. Cheonsa-ui Pi. The key to a unique job, given only to the one who struck first.
As expected, I was the first, he thought. No one else at this stage would even dream of challenging an Cheon-sa.
Not unless they had a death wish, of course.
“I also got a title,” Park Jin-ho noted, bringing up its details.

Acquisition Condition: Be the first player to kill an Cheon-sa.
Effect: All stats are doubled when facing holy-type monsters.
A quick check confirmed it was the same title he’d earned in his previous regressions. Its effect was invaluable against angels and other monsters of the Holy attribute.
Park Jin-ho’s gaze then shifted to his final reward, a pattern of light now glowing on his skin.

Effect: Each time a target is killed, all stats increase by 1% (stacking up to 100%). This effect lasts until the end of the current round.
The rune was now a permanent part of his body. It was his proof, the ultimate prize for being the first to kill an Cheon-sa.
If the other angels knew I already have a rune, they’d be shocked, Park Jin-ho thought.
Runes were not easy to come by. Acquiring even a single one over the course of an entire round was a monumental challenge, comparable in difficulty to finding a unique-grade item.
But that’s for an inexperienced player, Park Jin-ho reminded himself. He had already unraveled the secrets to clearing every level with ease.
I need to obtain more runes this time around, he resolved. I need to become even stronger.
This was the final life. He had nothing to lose and had to seize every advantage, exploit every secret, to amass more power than ever before.
“Unfortunately, killing more angels won’t yield any more rewards,” Park Jin-ho sighed.
The system granted these boons only once, for the very first kill. No one else could ever get them, which was why only one player in history had ever held the Archangel-slaying Sawang-ui class.
The angels probably never even knew these rewards existed, Park Jin-ho mused.
Until his 12th regression, neither had he. Like everyone else, he had feared the angels’ power and considered them untouchable entities.
But from the 13th regression onward, he began to discover the hidden spoils that came from defying them. When you kill an Cheon-sa, you can get the materials for a hidden job.
From that point on, he hunted them down in every life. Seeing no reason not to, especially when the prize was so great.
“That’s when I really started to focus on the Sawang-ui class.”
Until then, he had always scraped by as a Sanyangkkun. But once he made the switch, he understood just how much better the hidden class was.
It has bonus stats, transferrable runes, and an incredible skill set, Park Jin-ho pondered.
It was a world away from a mediocre class like Sanyangkkun. It was powerful, desirable—a class anyone would kill for.
But even then, I couldn’t clear the final round.
Nevertheless, no job could compare to Sawang-ui. Park Jin-ho had aimed for it again from the very beginning of this life. He had deliberately provoked the Cheon-sa, luring it away from prying eyes.
Then, instead of waiting to be stabbed in the back, he had struck first, a single, decisive blow to the back of its head.
By killing the Cheon-sa, he had secured a colossal advantage right from the first round. He had abandoned the Sanyangkkun path and once again embraced Sawang-ui.
With each regression, he had repeated the act, killing the Cheon-sa without fail. He had no mercy for a creature that planned to betray him.
In the process, Park Jin-ho learned many things. He learned just how fragile the angels really were, and that his ability to shatter their skulls was no fluke.
He also gained other information.
Beyond the rewards, he had captured and tortured angels to extract intel. He learned about their race, their society, their role in the game, its true purpose, and their system privileges.
But even the angels themselves didn't know the most critical secrets. They were nothing more than pawns, following orders from some higher power.
He suspected a godlike entity was pulling the strings, but the only way to learn the truth was to reach the final boss and claim his wish.
Having confirmed his new rewards, Park Jin-ho opened his inventory. It was time to use the special reward selection box he had received for ranking first in the entire previous area.
