Inside the Inheritance Main Hall, Yu Tianjun was assessing the platform and the egg upon it.
The platform was made of an unknown material. It was carved with complex runes whose meaning was unknown, but it could gather surrounding spiritual energy and transmit it into the egg. Compared to a Spirit Gathering Formation, these runes were infinitely more complex. They must have some other function, after all, in the Primeval Era, many races had different cultures.
The egg, on the other hand, was smooth and glossy, completely devoid of any patterns or blemishes. It was simply pure white. No life force emanated from it, yet Yu Tianjun sensed an incredibly powerful and boundless life force contained within. An unknown creature, but one that seemed to possess no small background!
"Could it be that the so-called tenth floor only has this much?" Yu Tianjun frowned and said. The great hall was quite large, and there were tables and chairs, but apart from that white egg, there was no trace of life force.
"Perhaps this place was left behind by some great power for their descendants! It's also possible that he's plotting something, and that egg might be very important!" Yuan Hun said indifferently.
"Huh! That might be it. What kind of creature is that egg? I have no impression of it whatsoever!" Yu Tianjun said, puzzled. Normally, if a species leaves behind an egg for its descendants, it always has distinguishing patterns that vary by species and parents, but that egg was just pure white, with nothing else. If not for its powerful life force and immense size, people might have mistaken it for an ordinary chicken egg.
"I don't know! Or perhaps, try to hatch it!" Yuan Hun said again.
"Hmm! Let's leave that for later! If there's nothing important here, I'll just leave this place!" Yu Tianjun decided. "But how do I take this egg? Should I just forcefully carry it away?"
"I wonder if that fellow has managed to enter this place yet." Yuan Hun was referring to the remnant soul on the fourth floor.
"He said there's something here that repels him... Huh?!?" Yu Tianjun's pupils suddenly contracted, and he retreated several steps, Samsara Power surging around his body.
Before him was a light projection! A man with clear facial features, unlike the light projection on the fourth floor which was indistinct. This was a white-haired man whose age was indiscernible, tall and imposing, yet still giving people the impression of a perfectly proportioned physique.
"You have arrived... Ah! Samsara Force!" The man spoke, his voice seeming to echo from ancient times, filled with endless vicissitudes! Then he showed a hint of surprise.
"Do we know each other?" Yu Tianjun asked, puzzled.
"Haha! Of course not," the man said with a light chuckle, "but being able to reach this place proves that you are qualified for the trial I left behind! I have waited for a very long time!"
"Are you the master of this inner world?" Yu Tianjun's pupils contracted as he said coldly.
"Huh! That's right! If you had arrived three days later, I would have had to choose someone from outside to inherit everything from me!" The man said with a smile.
"Ah! Are you also about to vanish?" Yu Tianjun asked, surprised.
"You could say that! My shattered Samsara, once I vanish and cannot find the Samsara fragments, I will disappear forever!" The man said indifferently, as if life or death held little importance in his eyes! "Huh?!? Ultimate Samsara Power? You are so young yet have already evolved to this stage, sigh..." The man suddenly stared at Yu Tianjun and sighed.
"Is that so? If you hadn't had a deficiency in comprehending the power of Space-Time back then, you would probably have already reached the Chaos Realm!" Wu Tianjun said indifferently.
"Haha! That's right! Back then, when I was young and ignorant, I considered myself transcendent, which left a flaw in my foundation, preventing my Space-Time domain from advancing further!" The man said with a smile. "This is the first time I've seen someone who hasn't even reached the Void Realm yet can manifest ultimate power! You are an anomaly; even in my era, you would rank among the top three!"
"Ah! Top three?!? There are others like me?" Wu Tianjun said, startled. It seems there were people like him even in the Primordial Era.
"No! Some of them were Saint Ancestor Realm cultivators who manifested Chaos Qi, and that person was said to be just over a hundred years old back then!" The man said indifferently.
"Is that all?" Wu Tianjun looked at the man strangely. Was this guy overestimating their Primordial Era geniuses?
"Just that?!?" The man's smile faded as he looked at Wu Tianjun.
"Can you tell my age?" Wu Tianjun smiled.
"Huh?!? You..." The man hadn't looked before, but when he tried to investigate, he only saw a cloud of mist; neither age nor cultivation level was visible, as if illusory! He could only be certain of one thing: Wu Tianjun had not yet reached the Saint Ancestor Realm.
"You can't tell, huh! Heh heh!" He said with a smile that wasn't quite a smile.
"What kind of physique do you have?!? Even Primordial Era races don't have this kind of physique! Could it be that later generations evolved a new physique? How could it be so powerful?" The man frowned, speaking in disbelief.
"Haha! In this era, Primordial Era racial physiques are considered treasures, so you tell me!" Wu Tianjun said with another strange smile.
"You..." The man's pupils contracted as a crazy thought crossed his mind! Could he be like *them*?
"Sigh! Well then! You didn't just wait for me to come here to chat, did you?" Wu Tianjun suddenly changed the subject.
"Hmm! The inheritances within this Trial Pagoda can be considered your reward; you just need to guard it until the creature inside that egg grows up!" The man said, his gaze softening as he looked at the egg.
"Just that?!?" Wu Tianjun said, a little surprised. This task is too simple.
"Just that!" The man affirmed. "It's not as simple as you think! It needs a lot of things to grow." He said faintly.
"It's your descendant?" Wu Tianjun asked again.
"Yes! It's my descendant!" The man affirmed.
"Ha! You trust an outsider you've never met before with it?" Wu Tianjun said, finding it strange.
"Haha! If it were an ordinary person, I probably wouldn't be at ease, but you are different. I believe an anomaly like you wouldn't do anything that goes against your Dao heart! I even feel you'd want to raise it yourself until it matures." The man said with a hearty laugh.
"Huh?!? What kind of exotic beast is it? I don't know your true form!" Wu Tianjun said, confused.
"In the Primordial Era, I was called a Cloud Beast!" The man said with a smile.
"A Primordial Behemoth?!?" Wu Tianjun's pupils contracted in shock as he spoke.
"Ah! You could say that!" The man said, surprised; the young man before him seemed to know everything!
"Tsk! That's not bad! How grand it would be to have a Primordial Behemoth as a mount!" A dangerous glint flashed in Wu Tianjun's eyes.
The man's face was filled with black lines! You can't try to take it as a mount right in front of its father! "I want you and it to sign an equal contract! Not a master-servant one!" The man said coldly.
"A contract?" Wu Tianjun frowned. "I don't make any contracts!" He said coldly.
"Huh!" The man didn't understand.
"Rest assured! I am a man of my word; I will do my utmost. I will personally raise your descendant, no contract needed! At most, I'll just put a few tracking marks on it." Yu Tianjun said indifferently.
"Huh! This is up to you! As long as it doesn't affect its freedom later on!" The man said with a light sigh. It seemed he hadn't misjudged the person; Yu Tianjun wasn't valuing his infant's abilities, but merely fulfilling their exchange.
"Heh heh! Whether it leaves me or not will depend on it!" Yu Tianjun said with a laugh. "Ah! That remnant soul outside..." Yu Tianjun suddenly remembered the light figure.
"Ah! To preserve my remnant soul, I sealed myself in this place. That remnant soul outside is the manifestation of my Inner World's will! Where has it reached now?" The man said faintly. In a way, that light figure was also a child he had given birth to.
"It has already developed its own sentience!" Yu Tianjun was a little surprised. "This World Will already has consciousness?!? Then if it goes out into this starry sky, absolutely no one will be its opponent!"
"It has already developed sentience?!? Alas!!! If I hadn't reached the end of my life, perhaps I could have tried to reincarnate once more!" The man said with a tone of astonishment. Through the power of this Inner World, he indeed had the capability, but his remnant soul could no longer endure it!
"Can you give me control over this Inner World?" Yu Tianjun suddenly thought of an idea. Wasn't he lacking a grand base? This Inner World is not a bad choice at all!
"Ah! You can! With it, you will be even safer!" The man said in surprise. "Indeed! His Inner World's will has already developed sentience; perhaps it's not yet complete, but controlling the Inner World to escape far away might not be difficult! Yu Tianjun would be safe, and his infant would also be very safe."
"Good! Then let's go outside this place!" The man waved his hand, and he and Yu Tianjun disappeared from the grand hall.
