After that minor incident, Wu Tianjun sat looking out at the street again as if nothing had happened. Everyone had left, leaving only Wu Tianjun and his companion. Elder Chen had also withdrawn to who knows where.
"Waiter! Is it ready yet? I'm hungry!" Wu Tianjun suddenly shouted downstairs.
"Coming..." The waiter ran back up, holding a few dishes in his hands. "Honored guest! The food is on its way." He spoke as if he had no idea what had just transpired on the second floor. After all, distinguished guests like this were not a common sight.
"Haha, hurry it up," Wu Tianjun said with a laugh. "Old Monster Wu, you should eat some too. Weren't you trapped for over two thousand years? Don't you miss this?" Wu Tianjun turned to Wu Zixian. He still didn't quite know what to call him.
"Uh... Master, please, go ahead and eat!" Wu Zixian's face was covered in black lines. At fifty thousand years old, having already reached the Saint Ancestor Realm, he was still considered very young. Besides, cultivators from the Deity-reaching Realm and above basically had no need for mortal food, relying instead on medicinal pills, spiritual items, and absorbing spiritual qi. He couldn't understand why Wu Tianjun, who was already at the late stage of the First Layer of the Divine Realm, still loved to feast on food.
"Oh? If you don't eat, how am I supposed to finish it all? I ordered every single dish on the menu at Jufu Pavilion," Wu Tianjun said helplessly.
"If you can't finish it, you can just leave it..." Wu Zixian said, feeling defeated.
"Sigh... You're no fun!" Wu Tianjun picked up his chopsticks and began to eat alone.
Several figures stepped out of the void. It was Mo Lian and the others who had arrived late; soon, all eight of them were present. At first, they looked at Wu Tianjun with a hint of astonishment—how could this guy be so monstrously bizarre? However, they were at least Saint God powerhouses, so they quickly regained their composure.
"Are you guys hungry?" Wu Tianjun asked with a smile as they appeared. It wasn't a great feeling to sit there eating while a bunch of old fogies watched him.
"Ah! Master, I actually am hungry," Mo Lian said, completely devoid of shame.
"..." The others stared at him with newfound judgment. This Demon was truly shameless.
"Oh, I remember my father saying that mixing lightning tribulation liquid with wine makes for the finest drink," Wu Tianjun said, as if suddenly remembering something. He then dripped over ten drops of Lightning Tribulation Liquid into the wine and shook it well. "You don't mind the wine, do you?" he asked Mo Lian. "The others don't want to eat, so they probably don't want to drink either." He glanced over at Wu Zixian and the rest.
"Ah! No, I'm actually a massive drunkard!" Mo Lian said hurriedly. Only an idiot would refuse Lightning Tribulation Liquid. But for this guy's father to say that mixing Lightning Tribulation Liquid with wine was delicious... wasn't that incredibly extravagant? Wait a minute... his father also had Lightning Tribulation Liquid? Could it be *that* person?
"Ah! Master, I suddenly feel hungry too! Waiter, bring me a bowl and chopsticks!" another Saint God said shamelessly, his lack of integrity easily matching Lord Mo Lian's.
"Oh! I'm hungry too..." The rest of them also clamored for bowls and chopsticks, rolling up their sleeves as they sat down to eat.
"Oh? And here I thought you guys didn't get hungry," Wu Tianjun said with a half-smile.
"Hehe, after being trapped for twenty thousand years, I haven't eaten a single thing..." one of them chuckled.
"When I escaped from Demonic Dragon City, I was actually planning to catch a few Divine Realm monster beasts to roast, but I just didn't have the time..." another said with a dry laugh.
*Clatter!* A jarring sound of shattering glass rang out. The waiter, who was bringing up the food, had overheard them talking about "catching a few Divine Realm monster beasts to roast." What kind of people were these? Were they just bragging?
"Haha, don't scare him," Wu Tianjun said with a laugh, glancing at the waiter.
"Ah! Master, we were just joking..." the others replied with dry chuckles.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, esteemed guests..." the waiter apologized profusely.
"Haha, it's fine. Just put it on my tab and bring out a few more dishes. These old fellows eat quite a lot," Wu Tianjun said with a laugh. He already had his eye on this Earth Spirit Body. In fact, he planned to find a few more spirit bodies to take back and nurture, believing that it wouldn't be long before he had several super-genius spirit bodies under his command.
"Thank you, honored guest, thank you..." the waiter thanked him repeatedly.
"Lu Yunzheng! You dropped the food again? That's twice this month already. How can I keep you on..." A cold voice rang out as a middle-aged man walked up to the second floor.
"Ah! Manager Lai, this honored guest said he won't hold it against me. He's paying for everything..." Lu Yunzheng stammered in fear. If he was kicked out of Jufu Pavilion, the world was vast, but whether he could even survive was another matter. At least here, he didn't have to worry about making a living.
"Hmph! Have you ever actually learned your lesson?" Manager Lai snorted. "Honored guest, he is incompetent at his job. I apologize on his behalf." He turned to Wu Tianjun and bowed. Although he was apologizing, his voice carried an unmistakable air of superiority. After all, at Jufu Pavilion, even members of the Four Great Families had to show him respect!
"Haha, it's fine. You may leave, I still have something to discuss," Wu Tianjun said, casting a nonchalant glance at Manager Lai.
"Ah! Then I shall excuse myself," Manager Lai said, turning to leave. "You, get out. Jufu Pavilion has no place for you anymore," he added coldly to Lu Yunzheng.
"Ah! Manager Lai, please, I beg you to let me stay..." Lu Yunzheng pleaded immediately.
"Save your breath," Manager Lai said dismissively.
"Wait," Wu Tianjun called out, seeing this. "Come here."
"Does the honored guest have any further instructions?" Manager Lai turned back, looking slightly annoyed.
"Oh, I wasn't calling you. I was calling him." Without even glancing at Manager Lai, Wu Tianjun turned to Lu Yunzheng. "Your name is Lu Yunzheng, right? Come over here."
"Ah, do you need something, sir?" Lu Yunzheng asked, bewildered as to why this young man was calling him over.
"Hmph!" Seeing this, Manager Lai snorted coldly and walked away. Since the youth refused to show him any respect, he saw no reason to stay.
"No need to be so nervous. Have a seat," Wu Tianjun said with a smile to Lu Yunzheng, after casting a brief, indifferent glance at the departing Manager Lai.
"This lowly one wouldn't dare..." Lu Yunzheng said fearfully, his mind in a daze as he wondered where he could possibly go now.
"Sit," Wu Zixuan said in a deep voice, gently pressing Lu Yunzheng down into a seat.
"The rules of this world are set by the strong. You should understand this," Wu Tianjun said, looking at Lu Yunzheng.
"The strong..." Lu Yunzheng muttered blankly. What did the strong have to do with an ordinary mortal like him?
"Indeed. The strong. If you become strong, absolutely no one in this world will dare to look down on you. Not only that, they will fawn over you and flatter you. A mere Manager Lai is only at the Earth Dan Realm—nothing to be feared," Wu Tianjun said casually.
"The Earth Dan Realm..." Lu Yunzheng shuddered. The Earth Dan Realm was a level of cultivation he wouldn't dare dream of reaching in this lifetime, yet in the eyes of this young man, it seemed like nothing at all.
"Haha, no need to look at me like that. You are actually very good. The Earth Core Realm is only a matter of a year or two, and your path does not stop at the Earth Core Realm," Wu Tianjun spoke again. His words left Wu Zixuan and the others puzzled. Why would Wu Tianjun highly regard this ordinary person? They immediately released their spiritual sense to investigate Lu Yunzheng, only to find that his meridians were blocked and could not flow, as if something was obstructing them.
"Oh... Earth Qi? Earth Spirit Body?!" Wu Zixuan was the first to notice the anomaly. It turned out that this youth had too much Earth Qi, which clogged his meridians and made him unable to cultivate.
"Interesting..." Ma Lian and the other experts understood Wu Tianjun's intention. It seemed he wanted to recruit another Spirit Body.
"A matter of a year or two..." Lu Yunzheng was dazed at first, but then his eyes gradually lit up, and he suddenly fell to his knees. "Young Master! I beg you to take me in and help me become a powerhouse. In this life, I am willing to follow you to the ends of the earth!"
"Stand up! Haha! I won't help you too much. In the future, you'll have to rely on yourself to compete. Hehe, I'm afraid your future companions won't make it easy on you," Wu Tianjun laughed and said. "Ah! From now on, you shall be called Di Lingzi! We can talk about the name Lu Yunzheng later."
"Thank you for the name, Young Master! I have been an orphan since childhood. The name Lu Yunzheng was only taken from the jade pendant on my body," Lu Yunzheng hurriedly expressed his gratitude.
"Hehe! Eat some food as well. Once we leave this place, I will help you cultivate," Wu Tianjun said with a strange laugh.
Wu Zixuan, Ma Lian, and the others had their suspicions. Could this young master of theirs be planning to gather a group of Spirit Bodies to nurture? This would not only require an astronomical amount of resources but also world-shocking capabilities! But on second thought, compared to this Master of theirs, a few Spirit Bodies were probably nothing.
"Eat up!" Wu Tianjun looked at everyone and said, his expression turning serious. "Tell me, what news have you gathered?" Wu Tianjun wanted to know some news about his Wu family. He didn't know how much time had passed, or how they were doing.
